Holiday Time Again

I can't believe how long it's been since I've updated. Since it's almost time for the holidays, I might as well put this one out there. I first came up with this in 2006, and I re-drew this the following year. It's amazing how old this is now.

I'm almost done with the NFL project that I started earlier this year, three more to go. Along the way a few people have noticed this project of mine, and asked if I could do one for them too. Here are some of those that I've gotten done.

I did this as a request for someone on DeviantArt, the character's name is Shirley Fenette. The task was to have her in a #13 Baltimore Ravens uniform. This is one of my favorites. I really like long hair, I didn't mean for her hair to be this long, but I think it looks good anyway.

One of my friends just moved into their new apartment, and it got me thinking about when I first moved into my apartment. I'll never forget the leather couch (which I still have) that I got for $10 at a yard sale, and the rest of my furniture is just hand-me-downs from my parents' house. Speaking of hand-me-downs, didn't you just hate getting those as a kid? Since I was the oldest, I didn't get too many of those, but I hated it when I did, I wanted to have new things. It's amazing how those feelings change when you have to start paying for things yourself.

After a week away from work, I feel recharged, it's like I have more energy. I wonder if I'll feel the same by the end of the week.

It's one of those trainwrecks that you just can't look away from. Every July 4th there's that hot dog eating contest. Pretty disgusting to watch if you ask me, but sometimes you just can't look away. After the thing was over I hear the previous champion decided to rush the stage and later got arrested for it.

I decided it was time for a vacation, I took a week off and took a little trip. I had a good time, but I was only there for a couple days. I decided to relax and "recharge" for the last couple of days. It felt like it was two vacations.

I'm usually not one to make things about myself, but eventually this will get out in some places. I've got a birthday coming up very soon. I only mention this because this is a pretty big one coming, "the big 3-0." I don't know what it is, but it feels like I'll be leaving something behind.

I'm not a big fan of the Dolphins, as a matter of fact that Dan Marino fake spike from all those years ago still haunts me.

There are things out there that are so bad, so cheesy that you can't help but like it...or at least laugh at it. There's a song I heard, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fof40yqaW1U recently that's one of these things. I don't know alot about Scott Stapp, or his band Creed for that matter, so I can't tell you if singing songs about baseball teams is normal for him, or just some random thing.

The Bad Girls Club

I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I'm a big Batman fan. I used to watch the old Adam West show all the time when I was a kid...even if it had been around for about 20 years at
the time.

Videl and Tatsuki celebrate the Saints Super Bowl victory, a request from a friend of mine from DeviantArt.

I heard that the Saints' Drew Brees will be on the Madden cover this year. Usually things don't go well for players the year they appear on the cover. We'll see how this works out.


This week seemed to go by quickly, but for some reason it just feels like only a couple days have passed...anyway it looks like I may have to take my art more seriously. I taught myself how to draw, and I'm working on getting better each time. For the past few years, it's only been a hobby for me. I've never really been interested in drawing for money, or as a job, but lately I've had my friends and co-workers encourage me to go for it. I still believe that there are a few things I still need to work on before taking that step.

This originally started as a gift for a couple of friends, it eventually turned into this project that I'm working on.

I heard the channels were changing on my cable box...I thought it would be a few here and there, but I was a little off there. Pretty much the whole lineup went through a change. I'm going to need a map to find my normal channels.

Our Bobcats had a playoff pep rally yesterday, celebrating the first time they made it that far. This isn't really related to them, but I felt I should throw it in anyway.

Whatever Happened to Spring?

What ever happened to Spring? It was probably three weeks ago we were walking around in winter coats, and trying to stay out of the rain. Here it is 90 out there, and feeling like the middle of summer.

I had a pretty good Easter, I got a surprise visit from my cousin, who I haven't seen in nearly three years! Unfortunately there wasn't much to do since it was Sunday, and just about everything was either closed, or we'd already been to. It didn't help that there was nothing on TV either. We still managed to make the best of things.

This character is Tenten, she can be seen on "Naruto." The outfit she is wearing is Chun-Li's outfit from "Street Fighter Alpha 3" (if I'm not mistaken). This was a random idea that just popped up, I just had to act on it.

Next Top Model

I was flipping through channels the other day and I passed over "America's Next Top Model." I was somewhat surprised it was still on seeing how quickly shows come and go.

Anyway that show inspired this a few years ago.

Old TV

In the early '90's, "Batman" was one of my favorites. I can remember how excited I was when it came on TV for the first time. Here is a sketch of Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn from that series.Lately I've caught myself watching a few older TV shows, lots of "Martin," "A Different World" is back in the rotation and lately "Sanford & Son" has been on my TV a lot.

It's Like a New World

Until a few days ago I never thought of doing my own blog. After a discussion I had with a co-worker, I decided to go ahead and do it.

I had the idea to try doing some charicatures, but not the ones that are typically seen everywhere, but with the same style I do everything else. My first attempt was to make one out of my favorite singer, Aaliyah.
